How Marketers Are Growing Their Email Lists in 2025
Email isn’t dead – it’s thriving. But in 2025, the smartest marketers know that stale tactics like basic pop-ups and generic lead magnets aren’t enough. Today’s audience expects more value, more personalization, and less friction.
The tactic I’m using to build my email list, is aimed at the ‘make money online’ market.
- If that’s your market place, I’ll explain my logic below.
- If you’re not in the MMO market-place, you may prefer to use the other 6 methods below.
Promote 3 Offers at Once, Still Earn if No-one Joins
In my particular niche (earn income online for Retirees) most people are promoting more than one business – which I do, myself.
Having lost a team of over 2,000 when the company closed over-night, I never want to put all my eggs in one basket again.
Alternatively, marketers may be promoting one offer alongside advertising methods that pay referral commission (which most do).
But the problem is that people are wasting their adverts, because so many newcomers are just promoting one generic link that ‘everyone and their grandma’ has already seen.
So no-one joins (because they’re already in that business), the newcomer gets discouraged and moves onto the next, popular, shiny object (as we call them).
Same happens – it’s NOT new to most people because smart (email) marketers, already promoted it to their email list, and the top 1,000 (say) who’ve been wisely paying attention to their favorite email marketer have already joined and are promoting it like crazy, while the newcomers are left in the dust wondering why everyone else is already promoting what they thought was a new offer! OUCH.
I’m NOT encouraging people to jump from one offer to another, just trying to solve a problem that exists.
If you are ready to learn, and stick with one offer, both MAP (Master Affiliate Profits) and OLSP offer excellent training on finding team members outside your main circle.
So what I am doing is building my email list by promoting 3 offers at once, whether someone joins or not, I can add them to my email list AND offer them the same ‘Promote your top 3 offers’ system. It comes with 8 fully customizable squeeze pages, so we won’t be promoting the same squeeze pages, even if we’re all promoting the same offers – and we can still build our email list.
While it will take a time to build a large enough email list to rival the ‘big email marketers’, that’s what we should all be aiming for.
Once people are on my email list, I can offer them other marketing methods by email.
I hope I’ve explained that well enough… please click here to have a look! This is just one of the 8 squeeze pages, and they are fully customizable.
Outside The Make Money Online Market-place…
Here’s how savvy brands are building better email lists right now.
- Quiz Funnels
Interactive quizzes are everywhere for a reason – they’re fun, fast, and effective. Tools like Interact, Outgrow, and Typeform let you create branded quizzes that segment subscribers by interest. Think: “What’s Your Skincare Personality?” or “Find the Right Workout Plan for You.” The result? More qualified leads and higher open rates from day one.
- Text-to-Join Campaigns
SMS-to-email opt-ins are making a comeback, especially at live events or on podcasts. Marketers prompt users to text a keyword (e.g., “JOIN”) to a number, triggering a reply that captures their email in exchange for a freebie or special offer. It’s fast, mobile-friendly, and frictionless.
- Embedded Signups in Video
Video tools like Wistia and Loom now allow email collection inside the video itself. Marketers are embedding email gates before revealing results, bonuses, or tutorials—perfect for webinars, walkthroughs, and product demos.
- Gamified Opt-Ins
Spin-to-win wheels, scratch cards, and digital giveaways are capturing attention on ecommerce sites. Powered by platforms like Wheelio or OptinMonster, these gamified pop-ups boost conversions by offering discounts or free gifts in exchange for an email.
- Lead Magnet Libraries
Instead of one generic freebie, marketers are offering “resource vaults” or gated content hubs—collections of guides, templates, and checklists users can unlock after subscribing. This adds perceived value and appeals to a broader audience.
In short, email list building in 2025 is all about creativity, interactivity, and delivering real value up front. The more tailored and frictionless your offer, the faster your list grows.
