My Focus for New Year 2023

Over recent years I have explored various different businesses because I never quite found the right one for me, and I don’t want to heavily promote a business in which I’m not fully confident.

Of course you can never be 100% confident. The business I promoted exclusively for 5 years closed its doors overnight. So I’ve always focused on multiple streams of income to some extent. And always will.

However in addition to those two, I have learned to include commission-earning evergreen tools, that everyone needs for any online business.

Best Autoresponders

The most obvious evergreen commission-earning tool is an auto-responder, and here are 4 I can heartily recommend. All are affiliate links to products I have personally used and recommend.

Once people start using a particular auto-responder they are very reluctant to change – so if you’re earning commissions from an auto-responder, it can be a steady earner.

The first 2 I mention are industry standards and well known, so you’ll often find them included in training programs for whichever business you follow.

The third is a personal favourite, but the 4th is my top recommendation. It lets beginners start with a free-for-ever mailing system and comes with superb training tutorials.

  • SendSteed – a free mailing system with an optional upgrade path that gives you benefits I’ve never seen anywhere else (possibly they’re in high-end systems, but I don’t need to pay a premium).

I’ll go as far as to say that if I had understood and used SendSteed (and its linked advertising platform LeadsLeap) to their full extent even a couple of years ago, my online marketing career would have been successful earlier.

 

My 2023 Marketing Strategy

I’m not a great fan of social media marketing. I have neither the time nor the patience for chatting online to ‘friends’ when we all know we’re just trying to make sales to each other. (Obviously I maintain the basic accounts an online marketer is expected to have a presence on.)

The training program I promote includes help with many different traffic methods and I’ve tried several of them. If you fancy a method, it’s almost certainly in the training. Contact me and I’ll have a look for you.

Some were just ‘not for me’ and I won’t be pursuing them, but they may be perfect for other marketers.

My best recommendation for any online marketer would be find ONE traffic method and stick with it until you’ve mastered it. Then consider adding another into the mix.

My 2 real loves are blogging and email marketing. And yes, I know and don’t mind if they’re slower. Quite apart from still working full-time, I’m a ‘slow and steady’ sort of person, rather than a crash and burn marketer.

Also – who on earth wants to be sitting on social media all day? Not me! I scheduled this blog post days in advance and I also have ‘Happy New Year’ emails scheduled ahead of time, with a content plan for days ahead.

I’ll be sitting with my family popping champagne corks, not posting on social media at midnight. Yes, I know I can schedule those ahead of time too – and I probably will – but my main marketing work has been done way in advance.

So in 2023 I’ll be continuing with my blog, and I have (work in progress) a new email list that will help anyone serious about affiliate marketing. You’ll hear more when it has more content available.

As mentioned at Christmas my success in 2022 have just convinced me to focus on >> this business <<.

Also, as an upgraded member, I have been privvy to some of the enhancements that will be happening in the New Year and I just can’t wait to see them in progress.

In fact I’ve been part of a small test of the plans, and they, combined with email marketing, made me daily commissions over Christmas even though I didn’t open my laptop while I was away.

I really hope you have in place a business that’s already bringing you in commissions – ideally on a daily basis, like mine.

Hopefully you also have a list-building strategy and one of the autoresponders above (or ANY one that will accept affiliate marketers – beware, they don’t all!)
