Not a very hard blog post this time, as my focus for New Year 2024 is pretty much the same as my focus for 2023!

My Main 2024 Program

I am still promoting the OLSP training system as my main program – I think it’s been over 5 years now (with a few gaps for family problems and illnesses).

I confess to a little diversion, as while OLSP was being stream-lined and vastly improved, I strayed and privately tested out two ‘shiny objects’.

Both crashed and burned. I was lucky and got my seed-money out before they ‘went’, but many were not so lucky. Even worse, many people promoted these shiny objects ‘far and wide’, losing money for other people, and tarnishing their own reputations.

Some people are still promoting those same businesses to me, despite clear evidence that they are failing. When I warn them, they just ignore me. Possibly because they have invested heavily in these businesses, and encouraged others to do the same to get their money back.

When trying out a new business, my preference is to stay below the radar unless I have a business in which I am fully confident. It means I don’t make as much money as others – but I can sleep at night.

Business is Always a Risk

Of course you can never be 100% confident in any business, online o offline. The online business I promoted exclusively for 5 years closed its doors overnight taking with it my 4-figure a month income. OUCH.

Since then, I’ve always focused on multiple streams of income. And always will.

But I go for complementary businesses – so for instance the 5-year old OLSP training program I promote can build any affiliate / network marketing business, and you’ll see in my Christmas 2023 post how I used the training to good effect.

And at the same time I earn commissions from tools (such as auto-respondersm, video creators) and advertising systems I use while building my business.

OLSP also includes (at certain levels) evergreen tools and skills, that everyone needs for any online business so I can earn from those – and also by building a team.

Best Autoresponders

The most obvious evergreen commission-earning tool is an auto-responder, and here are 4 I can heartily recommend. All are affiliate links to products I have personally used and recommend.

Once people start using a particular auto-responder they are very reluctant to change – so if you’re earning commissions from an auto-responder, it can be a steady earner.

The first 2 I mention are industry standards and well known, so you’ll often find them included in training programs for whichever business you follow.

The third is a personal favourite, but the 4th is my top recommendation. It lets beginners start with a free-for-ever mailing system and comes with superb training tutorials.

  • SendSteed – a free mailing system with an optional upgrade path that gives you benefits I’ve never seen anywhere else (possibly they’re in high-end systems, but I don’t need to pay a premium).

I’ll go as far as to say that if I had understood and used SendSteed (and its linked advertising platform LeadsLeap) to their full extent even a couple of years ago, my online marketing career would have been successful earlier.

My 2024 Marketing Plans

Start an online business for $7I’m not a great fan of social media marketing. I have neither the time nor the patience for chatting online to ‘friends’ when we all know we’re just trying to make sales to each other. But I AM very willing to help online marketers willing to learn about building a business instead of trying to pitch me on their latest dream.

So, I maintain the basic accounts an online marketer is expected to have a presence on and for OLSPers with no budget, Facebook traffic is perfect to get them earning commissions within hours by applying the $7 training.

Happily OLSP includes help with many different traffic methods and I’ve tried several of them. If you fancy a method, it’s almost certainly in the training. Contact me and I’ll have a look for you.

Some methods just ‘not for me’ and I won’t be pursuing them, but they may be perfect for other marketers. And the beauty of OLSP is I don’t have to know everything, because other experts in the community will help out.

My best recommendation for any online marketer would be to find ONE traffic method and stick with it until you’ve mastered it. Then consider adding another into the mix.

My 2 real loves are blogging and email marketing. And yes, I know and don’t mind if they’re slower. Quite apart from still working full-time, I’m a ‘slow and steady’ sort of person, rather than a crash and burn marketer.

Also – who on earth wants to be sitting on social media all day? Not me! I scheduled this blog post days in advance and I also have ‘Happy New Year’ emails scheduled ahead of time, with a content plan for days ahead.

I’ll be sitting with my family popping champagne corks, not posting on social media at midnight. Yes, I know I can schedule those ahead of time too – and I probably will – but my main marketing work has been done way in advance.

So in 2024 I’ll be continuing with my blog, and I have my steadily growing email list that will help anyone serious about affiliate marketing.

As mentioned at Christmas my successes in 2023 have just convinced me to continue my focus on >> my OLSP business <<.

Also, as an upgraded member, I have been privvy to some of the enhancements that will be happening in the New Year and I just can’t wait to see them in progress.
